item host status not supported when using zabbix 2.0

Hello guys,

So i upgraded a server(VM) from zabbix 1.8 agent to using zabbix 2.0 agent.

I just noticed that the host status is "not supported".

This is keeping me from knowing if the server goes down or what not.

Why is this? Is there a fix for this?

I am running into this exact same issue. Am I required to update my agent from 1.8 to 2.0 to resolve this?

I tried updating my agent from 1.8 to 2.0 and i'm still getting the same error for host status: Not supported by zabbix agent.

Knowing if the host is up or down is pretty important. Does anyone know a fix for this?

It is set in my agent config. I'm wondering if the check that was set up in 1.8 is no longer compatible with 2.0? Does anyone have an example of an item that looks for host status that works in 2.0 that they could share?
