    SNMP Monitoring Brocade Silkworm BR200E

    Hi,

I need to monitor the Brocade BR200E Switch. Currently I'm using Zabbix 1.8.11 and have not yet decided to upgrade to 2.0 as the system is working just fine.

Since there is no template available for the brocade switch I had a look at snmpbuilder, but this seems to be a very highly customized solution.

Is there something like snmpbuilder included in Zabbix 2.0 or does someone have a Brocade Template?

    Regards,
    Oliver

    recommend zabbix 2.0.4

    Hello Oliver,

I know this is not really the answer you are looking for, but I can heartily recommend version 2.0.4. (the version we're currently running). Given our high number of interfaces (on network devices) and filesystems (on UNIX servers), the low-level discovery that is included (as of Zabbix 2.0) has without doubt saved me months of creating templates, manually adding in the missing pieces, and trying to figure out errors caused by oversights and typos.

In October, I quickly added our core switch to Zabbix, using the default templates, and then forgot about it. Today, I found Zabbix discovered all its interfaces, is monitoring 2151 items on that switch and has defined 269 triggers and 268 graphs. All pretty much out of the box.

    Kind regards,

    Herta
