There was a bug in 1.1b8 or 1.1b10 which affected execution of actions. Perhaps that's exactly what you're talking about.

I upgrade form 1.1b8 to 1.1 and some actions are not working.

I have an trigger to chechek if a VideoConferencing is on or is connected to the network, a simpli check icmpping:

      {MyTemplate.VideoC:icmpping.last(0)}<1

When I disconect the VC from network, the trigger change to TRUE (blinking) and in overview is shown red (blinking) but the Action is not evaluated and send an email :-(

      please help.

same problem here, using zabbix-server and agent 1.1-r1 (on gentoo, tryed with ebuilds and manual install, same problem)

i've set up a trigger called Apache Is Down

if i do /etc/init.d/apache stop on one of the boxes that zabbix is monitoring, the action starts, but if i do it on another machine the trigger goes red but no action is started...
same configs (expect for the hostname), same triggers, same items, same actions!!!

this is the most important part of this project actions can send mail to our mail2sms gateway, and inform us in case of failures even if we aren't at office, but it should be works always, not only for some actions or some hosts...

          Not all actions sent

          Hi -

We have triggers that are working - when the service goes down, the triggers page shows red, and an email is sent to our sysadmin group. However, we have another action setup that should work off the same trigger, but it is not being evaluated. It seems that zabbix is executing the first action it finds that matches the trigger, and stops processing actions.

          Details:
We have a trigger that is working properly. We have a generic action that sends an email to our sysadmin group when any trigger goes off or on. We added another trigger to send an email to a specific person when trigger=triggerNameA. Our email to the group is being sent correctly, but not the 2nd one to an individual.

Any fixes or ideas here? Notifications, for us, are one of the most important parts of a monitoring solution. I love zabbix, and we are relying on it for systems monitoring, but are reluctant to move our application monitoring out of nagios because of the notifications.

Thanks for the details. Please give us some time to test it in our test environment.

Just tested this with two triggers:

              1. Trigger status = ON. Send message to ZABBIX Admin group.
              2. Trigger = Too many processes running. Send message to Alex.

Alex is the only member of ZABBIX Admin group.

It worked as advertised Two messages have been sent when trigger "Too many processes running" changed its status to ON.

specifically, we have this setup with:

                Action1: No Conditions Defined
Action2: Trigger Description LIKE 'Word from trigger desc. A & B)

I'll try to setup 2 actions, instead of the one w/o conditions, and see how that goes. If you get a chance, you can test the above setup. Thanks for all the help!

Scratch that - everything is working properly.

I missed the nuances of severity levels - I did a bunch of testing today, and finally found that the user that wasn't getting notifications because his email wasn't setup to receive for different severity levels. That hidden setting under Users -> Media got me, and is probably the cause of a bunch of these users complaints.

(I'm hoping that User configuration interface will be a bit more intuitive in the next version )

Excellent! I'm glad I don't have to code anything
