Have on trigger clear another trigger

    Hello

I'm currently trying to monitor the built-in backup solution in Windows 2008/R2/2012. I've set up two scheduled tasks to do so:

1: Sends an Agent trap (winbackup.complete) when a backup is completed. It sends the current date & time as value.
2: Sends an Agent trap (winbackup.lasterror) when a warning or error occurs. It sends the current date & time as value.

Now when a warning occurs, this gets sent before the completion notice. I have a trigger on that:

    {AgentTrapper.WindowsBackup:winbackup.lasterror.di ff(0)}=1

So that one goes off the moment a new warning gets logged.

I have a second trigger going off when a backup completes:

    {AgentTrapper.WindowsBackup:winbackup.lastcomplete d.diff(0)}=1

Now the thing is, warnings get logged but that doesn't mean the backup has failed. It might be a warning as in "low free disk space on the backup drive". Which is OK, because I want to know that too.

This leaves one situation unresolved though:

    1) A warning was produced during the previous backup. The "warning" & "complete" trigger go off.
    2) The problem that caused the warning has been fixed.
    3) A new backup completed successfully, making the "complete" trigger go off.

Now in this scenario, the "warning" trigger doesn't get cleared, but it should, because no warnings occurred during this last backup.

So I need something like, "clear the other trigger, if it hasn't received any data since the previous backup attempt". How do I do that?

Shouldn't the start of a new backup clear all the prior error flags?
