Item data retention (history) period for Web Scenarios
With Zabbix 2.0.5, neither the web interface nor the API appear to provide a way to change the data retention (history) period for items created by web scenarios.
According to the documentation, such items default to 30 days history and 90 days of trends.
Back in Zabbix 1.6.4, the items created by web scenarios appear in the configuration pages and we are able to modify the history and trends periods (but understandably not some other parts of the items).
I have seen some other posts on this forum and elsewhere suggesting that history and trends can be modified at the database level and that doing so will work. My question therefore is why the ability to change this was removed? Could it be the case that changing these periods at the database level will break something, either now or during a future release upgrade?
On a similar note, will this become configurable again the web scenarios in 2.2?
