    Monitor website through Zabbix proxy

    Hi,

I've searched and read the manual, but couldnt find if it is possible to monitor
a website using a zabbix proxy.

Anyone know if this is possible and if so how to do this?

    Regards,
    Flip

I imagine you can. Try setting up a proxy and see what happens.

I tried this before posting my question.

I don't see how to assign a webscenario to a Zabbix proxy.

Following the manual, assigns it to a application group, but then
the zabbix server itself executes the webscenario in stead of the proxy.

you must assign the host (that web scenario is created on) to be monitored by a proxy

            Ok, thanks for your reply!

So a webscenario can not be assigned directly to a Zabbix Proxy?

And if assigned to a host that is monitored by the proxy, is the website checked from that host or from the proxy?

And assigning to a host, should that host be a Zabbix Agent or does this not matter?

Web scenarios are assigned to hosts and hosts are assigned to proxies. Checks for a host are run from the proxy it is assigned to, so the same applies to web scenarios. Any web scenarios for a host will run from the proxy that the host is assigned to. I don't believe that a Zabbix Agent is required for web scenarios , but I can't say that I've tried it without one.
