    windows agent not starting...

    Hello,

    i installed windows agent as service, i have 2 files.
    one in the c:\zabbix_agentd.conf and one in c:\zabbix\ZabbixW32.exe
    ZabbixW32.exe check-config says that the configuration file is OK.
    When i install the service, no problem but starting the service is not possible.
    It stays trying to start until it says that it can't be started.
    this is my agentd.conf file in c:\

    Reduce your zabbix_agentd.conf to the following:

    Code:
    Server=10.51.100.13
    Hostname=zabbix
    ListenPort=10050
    #DisableActive=1

    # Specifies debug level
    # 0 - debug is not created
    # 1 - critical information
    # 2 - error information
    # 3 - warnings (default)
    # 4 - for debugging (produces lots of information)
    DebugLevel=3

    # Name of log file.
    # If not set, syslog will be used
    LogFile=C:\zabbix\zabbix_agentd.log

    # Spend no more than Timeout seconds on processing
    # Must be between 1 and 30
    Timeout=3
    Then i'm quite sure that Hostname=zabbix is wrong in your case. Hostname has to be the the netbios name of the host where the agent is installed.

      I found the problem....

      the problem was with the logfile!
      standard it is /tmp/...
      and i had to change it to C:\...

      or else, i don't start.
