nothing in Queue

Hi,

I have a new zabbix 1.1 installation.
I'm still struggling with the new configuration but it's not working.

I created a host, made a new template with a simple check, icmpping.

i made a trigger:
{test_Simple_Host_alive:icmpping.last(0)}=0

and an action, send message.
Trigger = "test_Simple_Host_alive"

then i linked my host to that template, so i think it should work, right ?

but in the monitoring/latest data, there is nothing to see.
There is a line:
Simple Ping Host Alive but last check is a "-"

in Queue's, everything is 0 so my zabbix isn't doing anything.

any advice ?

1. fping installed on server?
2. status of item in Configuration -> Items -> Your_Host (not template) is Active?

fping was not installed !
