Error receiving answer on RCPT TO request

    Hello,

i installed zabbix 1.1, everything works but i have problems with the e-mail.
The problem is the same as i have on my zabbix 1.0 configuration so i don't know exactly what it is.

When i specify an e-mail group "[email protected]", then i get:
Error receiving answer on RCPT TO request as error in the actions field.

    In the logging i get:
Error receiving answer on RCPT TO request [Interupted system call]

I would like to know how zabbix sends its e-mail so that i can simulate it.

When i do a test in command line:
    telnet x.x.x.x 25
    helo
    mail from: test
    rcpt to: [email protected]
    here comes data
    .

    ...that works fine...
so it must be something with the way zabbix sends the e-mail.

    grtz,
    Verus

i found what the problem was.
in GENERAL ==> SMTP email, i used an address zabbix@mydomain (==>windows domain)

But this was not okay for my exchange server.
If i send the mail inside the company, it worked but when i sended it to a group with some users that are on another domain (like hotmail or something), the gateway checked if zabbix@mydomain exist.

it didn't exist, so it dropped everything sometimes and sometimes the local user was delivered.
i thought that with the address of the zabbix server in relay access was good enough to send the e-mails everywhere.

now i have one other problem, in my actions the status is "not sent" but it is sent and i get it on different e-mail addresses, but i'll post that in a new thread.

    grtz,
    Verus
