    system.cpu.util (ZabbixW32)

    Hi everybody.

I am a long term Zabbix 1.0 user (2 years or so) and have recently installed Zabbix 1.1. However, I cannot get a reliable value from the above item check.

I am running the new agent, with active checks on a Windows 2003 server. I seem only to get a value for system.cpu.util every 15 minutes or so. I have tried all sorts of things to get it working.

What I would like to know is how exactly should I use syste.cpu.util? I have tried system.cpu.util[], system.cpu.util[all,,], system.cpu.util[all] but none seem to work reliably.

All other active checks work fine.

On another Windows 2000 server I am monitoring I can't even get a value returned for system.cpu.util, even though it uses the same template as the 2003 server.

    Does anyone have any suggestions.

No suggestions for you, just wanted to report I'm having the same issue on Windows XP. The items are listed as unsupported.

      CAn anyone help?

Sorry to post again but surely someone must know what the correct syntax for this command is? I can't get this item to work on my Windows machines and other Active checks aren't working on my Solaris servers.

I presume Active Checks have been fully tested so I must be doing something wrong. I would appreciate any help with Active Checks in general and the system.cpu.util command specifically.

      Thank you.

          Solution

I had the same issue, until I figured out: I have to set the type of information to float. Then all the above examples will work fine.
