    Template Discovery

We have enable auto registration and a apply a base template. Now we want to apply additional templates like mysql, apache or postgresql automatic. it this possible? i have not found any solution.

so we have try to build lld rules with a custom discovery (discovery.app[apache]) that returns 1 object if apache is installed. we get an error "Cannot create item [apache.version]: item already exists" but the items doesn't exists.

What "base" template are you applying? Sounds like maybe the base template already has [apache.version] as part of LLD.

ok i see the keys need a MACROVARAIBLE. I have test it, todo this

        apache.version[{#DUMMY}]
        apache.status[Uptime,{#DUMMY}]

        DUMMY is an empty string.

apache.status works find but apache.version not. with parameter it is declared as unsupported.

somebody now a better way to apply templates by detection script?
