Total bandwidth usage for a day, week, month, year

    Hi,

Can we calculate total bandwidth usage for a day, week, month and year with zabbix? and zabbix can send email alerts according to this calculation? Any help will be appreciated

This feature will be very useful for me too.

Any ideas how to implement this?

      Just as an Idea:
Create item net.if.in[] as delta (simple change) with update Interval 24x60x60=86400s
This should count the incoming bytes within 1 day.
Now do the same with .out.
finally, an aggregate item for the sum.

      Maybe this could work?!
      Big ZABBIX is watching you!
(... and my 48 hosts, 4513 items, 1280 triggers via zabbix v1.6 on CentOS 5.0)

I tried it in another way :
Created a trigger {Linux.Server:net.if.out[eth0].sum(86400)}>2654208000 . Here 864000 for 1 day and 2654208000 for 1Mb(1048576 bits)*86400 . I done like this because in my experiments I got values like (2499204096.00 b/s) . I am not sure about it. Anybody who have time please look this and tell is it logically correct and work for zabbix
