    Discovery Templates and SNMP

    Hello all. I'm new to Zabbix and having some trouble getting Discovery Templates to work the way I want to with SNMP OID Discovery.

    I setup some Prototype Items, but now need to filter some of them out. I have two interfaces that will show up from the interface table that I do not want items created for:

    ifDescr.101
    ifDescr.4196

    How can I filter those out so no items are created for them? Under the filter for the discovery rule, I only see one filter box. Also, there are currently items created, how do I delete template-derived items for a device? The check-box is greyed out.

    One way could be to define a regular expression:
    Name: Not 101 and not 4196
    Expression: (^101$|^4196$)
    Expected result: Result is FALSE

    and to use this regular expression within your LLD rule for filtering:
    Macro: {#SNMPINDEX}
    Regexp: @Not 101 and not 4196

    Currently there is no way to manually manage prototype based items (see ZBXNEXT-1601 and ZBXNEXT-821)
