what is the correct way to perform the update from version 2.0.5 to 2.0.6. Usually I compile. But how to do when there are changes in the templates as is the case with 2.0.6?

- Also you can only make and install manually, only copy binary file in the necessary place.
- Also you can download compiled binary file and replace your.
- Also you need update web frontend, copy from src_folder/frontends/php/* to your place and copy from old dir the file zabbix.conf.php

Update Zabbix 2.0.5 to 2.0.6

Hi,

Could you help me , I am a new in Zabbix
Zabbix version is 2.0.5 and I want to upgrade to 2.0.6.
Server CetOS 6.4 , DB : mysql

Where can I find the instruction how to upgrade ?

in Zabbix Manual there is only "Upgrade notes for 2.0.4",
in Download page http://www.zabbix.com/rn2.0.6.php "Upgrade" point to Zabbix Manual.
What I am missing here ?

Great!
- I think you have already downloaded sorces from zabbix.com.
- Then you need configure and make (without install) new sources
- stop your daemons and replace binary files (zabbix_server, zabbix_agent, zabbix_sender etc.)
- finally start again

Is it the same procedure to each upgrade ?
What about DB ? I don't see any sql under zabbix-2.0.6.tar\zabbix-2.0.6\upgrades\dbpatches\2.0\mysql

what about agent's upgrade, should I just replace zabbix_agent & zabbix_agentd ?

Agents I installed in the following way :
rpm --import http://repo.zabbixzone.com/centos/RP...KEY-zabbixzone
rpm -Uv http://repo.zabbixzone.com/centos/za...0-1.noarch.rpm
yum install zabbix-agent -y
chkconfig zabbix-agent on
mv /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.default
sed 's/Server=127.0.0.1/Server=<my server>/' /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.default > /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf
service zabbix-agent start

Hi Darryl,

It depends how you performed install initially.

If you compile from sources, then get a new sources and compile it with manual.

If you install from a packages, then you should look on https://www.zabbix.com/documentation..._from_packages

Third way is to get pre-compiled binaries and replace it with old binaries.
