    List of item "error messages"

    Hello,

I'm looking for a complete list of possible errors for items. I'm going to use some of them to get list of unsupported items, excluding messages like "Type of received value [timeout while executing a shell script] is not suitable for value type [Numeric (unsigned)]". For now I have to count only items with "Not supported by Zabbix Agent" message, that's not enough.

You certainly can make such list (for example, looking to the source code), but considering that in 2.2 appear "Notifications on unsupported items", I seriously doubt the benefits of the results of your labors.
Well, until 2.2 came out, I suggest you look for the cause why items moving into the "unsupported" state.

We are still using 1.8 as it installs with apt-get/yum. And it's not easy to migrate now.

I've realised that the best way is not to count unsupported with known errors but to get list of all of them and exclude script timeouts incide the code.

And with what exactly the data elements you have a problem, if they do not work as it should, maybe you should replace them by scripts or another "more stable" option?

I do not know your volume and complexity, but I'm sure, all the same sooner or later you will have to migrate to Zabbix v2. So maybe it is better to take the time to prepare for the migration and not to work with the list? I am sure that in the documentation or on the forum you will find enough information for this and for complex cases there is Zabbix support.

I fell silent, the decision is yours.
