Is there a possibility to check statuses of domains such as expiration and for example use trigger if the domain expiration is in less than 28 days or something like this? Is it possible to see it in zabbix dashboard?

You need to use an external script (eg this one) and is likely to external checks (I have not analyze script and don't know how it returns the result).
