agent for solaris 11

Hi,

Where do I download the agent for solaris 11 Sparc? I can only see amd64 in this page http://www.zabbix.com/download.php

They may have overlooked it, or they may not have a Solaris 11 sparc to compile on.

If it is the latter, you can always custom compile your own agent, provided you have the privileges needed to your server and have GCC installed.

(Edit) Actually, looking at various articles on the web, it looks like Oracle has turned away from using Solaris 11 on sparc based hardware. That is probably why Zabbix devs don't provide an agent for it.

You will probably have to custom compile your own agent if you have Solaris11 on sparc.

To set the record straight: Oracle are discontinuing support for Solaris 11 on old SPARC hardware. It remains very much alive on newer servers. Cf.

Thanks for clarifying. I looked back through the old Zabbix releases for Solaris 11 and Zabbix team has never supplied an agent for Solaris 11 SPARC.

As mentioned earlier though, compiling your own agent is pretty simple if you don't find what you are looking for. The only issue we ever seemed to run into was with the dependency on libiconv.so.2 and I think that was always a path issue.
