    Item value in Alert

    Hello!

Is it possible to create alert who in notification send value of item which does not appear in trigger?

    For example:

I monitor disk drive status though SNMP so trigger looks like:

    Code:
    {Test Template:arrayDiskRollUpStatus.1.last(0)}>4
and if it fails I want to add in notification items of information about disk vendor , product ID and serial number.

Maybe is possible to create macros from items?
I just can't find a way, so maybe anyone get done something like that?

    Thanks!

If the required value is in the host inventory, you can easily insert it in the alert.
To do this, use the appropriate macro like {INVENTORY. *}.
Complete list of macros supported in notifications you can find here.

      Hello Heilig,

Thanks for reply. No it is not a solution for me, I get values from SNMP too. I think there is no way to get a separate item from trigger in to notification.

You can use {ITEM.*} or manualy fill necessary field in inventory on the hosts and use the appropriate macros for getting this value when you send alert.
I suggested and you decide is it suitable for you or not.
