How Jabbix Works

Hello guys,

I'm new in Jabbix and i have a question for example: I have 3 clients

1. client: i have 4 servers and 20 workstation

2. client: i got 1 server and 5 workstation

3. client: i got 6 servers and 30 workstation

And i have a data center that i want to monitoring all my clients with Jabbix so what i need to do?
I need to install Jabbix server on my data center right? then do i need to install one Jabbix server on all of my clients so i can comunicate with my server on my data center or i just need to install "Jabbix Agents" on my clients then i can comunicate with my server on my datacenter?

You simply need one Zabbix server installed on a Unix system. Most prefer Linux.
It is also preferable to install your database on a separate server if possible, but it is not necessary if you have enough server resources (CPU and RAM) to handle the load of the Zabbix App server and Zabbix DB server.

Then you install Zabbix agents on the servers you wish to monitor. One Zabbix server can handle several thousand monitored hosts, provided you have the necessary horsepower behind it and have it tuned correctly.

So even on my clients i just need to install the Zabbix Agent on the servers there and i can monitoring them on my datacenter?

What do you mean by "clients"? Workstations?
Yes, provided the servers and workstations can talk to the Zabbix server via tcp/ip

No, it's like the example i gave. I got my client with 6 servers and i got my datacenter my question is do i need to install a Zabbix server on my client or i just need to install Agents on the servers of my client to monitoring on my datacenter?

You should install one zabbix server on one of your server, then you can install zabbix agent on datacenter or client servers and workstation which you want to monitor. A lot of informations you can find in documentation.
