Problems with email notification

I new in zabbix , a brother give me a server with zabbix on ubuntu , isnt working !! ,, the smtp is ok, the account of mail is ok, media type is ok, i only wants how works the notifications, thats my server mail is in antoher server. .. i think that i need config the user n password that the account that send the mails, but where ???..
