How to return data to 3rd Item?

I have a need to return data to a 3rd item on an event.
let me explain and see if this will work. I monitor a WAN, currently I have an agent running on a server in each LAN on the WAN (240 sites) I get a notice if I lose contact with the agent. I would like to test the router and gateway if I lose contact and would like the results of that to go to a 3rd item on Zabbix so i know who to call to get a fix going.

Can I do this? Has anyone tryed this before,, I am guess so and I just have not found the right notes.

You can try what Heilig explained the other in topic "Something unclear with Host_Groups and Templates":

"Yes, in zabbix you can duplicate items.
Example, there is a physical ServerA and it monitored ItemA. You can create a "virtual" ServerB and item with the type - calculated and formula last("ServerA:ItemA_key"). As a result, on virtual ServerB will be duplicated value ItemA from physical ServerA."
