Im wondering about ESXi monitoring on Zabbix 2.x. The first approach Im thinking is using SNMP so the problem starts with enabling SNMP capabilities in ESXi 4.1.0.
There are contradictory posts at vmware site, vmware communities ..etc. Can anyone confirm if it's possible to enable the SNMP agent in ESXi 4.1.0 hosts?
Depending on source, its not possible at all, or only via VCLI, or only for traps but no get/puts at all ...
BTW, I get the following error when trying to enable snmp agent:
Failed : fault.RestrictedVersion.summary
