    SNMP Laserjet M4555 MFP

    I have been trying to get my monitoring going for 2 HP printers for over a week now. I am not sure if I should post this here or in an SNMP forum

    I have the MIB file from HP for my Printer, but I cant seem to find a Zabbix template that suits. I am trying to monitor things like paperjams, low toner, etc.

    I have run the following snmp walk command:

    Code:
    snmpwalk -v 2c -c public -m "/path/to/mib/LJM4555.mib" ipaddressofprinter dm
    I get a massive output which has things like this in it:

    Code:
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-usage-units-remaining.1.0 = INTEGER: 19200
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-usage-units-remaining.2.0 = INTEGER: 70227
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-usage-units.1.0 = INTEGER: eEstimatedPagesRemaining(2)
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-usage-units.2.0 = INTEGER: ePagesRemaining(1)
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-low-threshold.1.0 = INTEGER: 11
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-low-threshold.2.0 = INTEGER: 10
    LJM4555-MIB::consumable-life-low-threshold.3.0 = INTEGER: 10
    I am unsure what details to use from the snmpwalk output in the item list for the printer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

      make a snmp walk to a file.
      open a tray.
      then create another snmpwalk to a file.

      then look the difference between those files.

      for toners note that a lot of printers use remaining pages for a toner.
