Looking for smssend alternative because package is unavailable

I am currently trying to setup a sms gateway. The gateway I am using is Mollie and has a script available (http://www.mollie.nl/files/examples/...sms-zabbix.zip).

The problem is now that smssend is not available for centos 6 or any current OS. Even the homepage (http://zekiller.skytech.org/smssend_menu_en.html) is unavailable.

Does anyone know of a good alternative cli sms client that I can use instead?

smstools? I am currently testing it on debian.
(Having some problems with (zabbix) user privileges and the script sendsms - but think it just need some debugging)

I'm having the exact same issue as you but with some old Ubuntu servers. Did you use smstools as eskytthe suggested? If so, what did you change on the scripts from mollie etc, and how did you implement it?

This is slightly different from what you're asking, but I thought I would bring it up anyway.

We're not using a network-available external SMS gateway, because we want to be able to receive alerts even if our connections to the internet are down. We looked at smssend and smstools and rejected both because of the reliance on our internet gateway and other parts of our core network.

Instead, we have a modem connected to our Zabbix server and I've configured "sendpage" to dial the modem and communicate with the TAP gateways run by the two cell phone providers that our on-call staff have phones from. Since our phone system is separate from our network, this means we can be alerted even if parts of our core network or our connection to the Internet are unavailable.

sendpage and qpage are the two packages I've looked at that do the TAP communication with cell phone providers, there might be others.
