Zabbix 2.0.3 agent on MIPS architecture

I have tomato running on a router with a MIPS architecture and would like to install a zabbix agent to be able to monitor network traffic via zabbix.

Has anyone made a binary for MIPS architecture? If not, how would I go about compiling a binary for my router?

I found a package on github that should compile for the router, however I have never done any cross compiling before so this is a bit confusing:
