    IBM WebSphere JMX and IIOP

    Hi,

How do you monitor WAS (any version)? I'm struggling to get any IBM but default Java MBeans. I can't see an option to use IIOP (required - so it seems - by IBM WAS).

Here is what I get through a JConsole: (and Zabbix).

As you can see no IBM-specific MBeans.

    Thanks
    Chris

Just FYI. Looking for some information how to monitor Weblogic, I found this bug, that seems to be still unresolved. Above of all it states "Java gateway server only support RMI protocol, but WebLogic doesn't support RMI. It's necessary to use IIOP protocol..."

        Hi

I found the solution for WebLogic. Generally, the idea is to make WebLogic use JVM's MBean server, that you can still connect to through RMI. See my post for details and links. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me.

        Hope this helps.
