    Zabbix Proxy on Raspberry Pi

    Hello,

Can anyone point me to a guide for setting up a Raspberry Pi unit as a Zabbix Proxy?

I have seen several posts about people planning to implement this, but have been unable to find a step-by-step guide on how to accomplish this.

    Thanks

Just follow the standard "compile from source" instructions for Debian on the wiki for the 2.06 version.

I did this a few days ago and it works well and doesnt take long to compile (proxy and agent)

I started off with the raspbarian wheezy image.

    cheers

      Hi,

the best thing is to use a "raspberry simulator" to compile it otherwise it will take ages to compile

      Code:
      qemu-system-arm -kernel kernel-qemu -cpu arm1176 -m 256 -M versatilepb -no-reboot -serial stdio -append "root=/dev/sda2 panic=1" -hda Downloads/2013-02-09-wheezy-raspbian.img
      Get the latest kernel from
      http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=16081

you can also increase the memory to 1024 because sometimes the compiler will crash if it does not have enough memory.

      Regards
