Security on Active Agent

I’ve just implemented Zabbix 2.0.6 and must say quite impressed the software. Especially like active agent as we are IT company and support many external sites.

However I just wander about security during transfer over internet. I don’t have and I don’t want VPNs between sites so just wander about authentication and encryption.

Is it possible to implement it and if so is it easy?

We don't worry about it - just lock down the iptables/FW and agent to the zabbix server. There are no encryption options yet, but coming, I think.
