image size must be less than 1 mb

I get the message "image size must be less than 1 mb" when i upload an image background.
Can i change this to 2 or 3 mb ?

Edit Memory_Limit

Hi guys,

Goto:
/etc/php5/apache2filter/php.ini....

Then find:
memory_limit

Change it to:
256Mb

It will work

memory_limit is already 128M in php.ini and it doesn't work.
I think this is a mysql thing ?
any other thoughts ?
