Using SMS gateway to send mails notifications.

Hi all,

I'm trying to use our cellular provider to send SMS through their smtp gateway. To make a story short, when I fire my test trigger, I can see in the notifications log that a message as been sent using that media, but I did not receive it on my phone.

I, of course, tried to send a message using telnet from the same host zabbix server is running on and using the same parameters of what is set in the "Media" fields and it works. So, it seem, the problems lies in zabbix, but I don't know how I can debug this. DebugLevel=4 spits a lot of info and it would help to know what I'm looking for.

Just two details I forgot:

- I'm using 1.8.17
- I can see the notifications go through the firewall from the zabbix server host to the SMS gateway.

could you try something like "Wireshark" ?

track the telnet command in wireshark and after that the message that zabbix sends. compare those two. It looks like zabbix is not sending a complete message.
