Event forwarding using snmp

Hi everyone, I did a lot of reading and found lots of information related to receiving snmp traps within Zabbix, however I would like to forward events to another NMS using SNMP.
Is this possible, to forward Zabbix events to another system using snmp?

We have various monitoring systems in place that are responsible for different monitoring elements. Then we have one event correlator consolidating these before we take action.

At this moment snmp is the simplest way to communicate, therefor I would like to forward our events as snmp traps.
Which API are you referring to?
