Can Not Recieve Data From Windows 7 32bit

HI,

We have Zabbix running on our company network.We can receive snmp2 data from some devices like printers. Our asa firewall is configured to allow snmp from Zabbix to any device.

We have enabled snmp with a community string on windows 7 but we are not receiving any data in Zabbix.

The laptop can ping Zabbix server and visa versa.


Can someone please provide some reasons for it not to work.

What about the laptop firewall ?

Hi. Is the firewall of the laptop on ? I encountered several similar problems with the embedded firewall which sometimes made things to pass through an other is blocking (what i meant to be right fot a FW).

The TCP ports used by Zabbix ar not that common, though i suspect the MS Firewall for blocking things not allowed.
First disable it to do a quick test, then enable the firewall again and built some regular rules.

And do not forget to give us a word about it.

Yes I had to open the port 10050 in the Firewall then the agent started sending data.
