I was wondering where to put the icons that you can use in the maps section, and in which format they have to be...

Can't find anything in the docs 'bout it.

Are there a couple of standard icons in zabbix as well ?

Nagios has those neat little icons 'bout f5, debian, sun, oracle etc...

No one replied to your question, and I don't see anything in the manual about adding your own icons. Yet there are several threads about where to get suitable icons for this purpose. I assume it isn't as easy as putting new .png files in the /html/images/general/ directory...

New images can be added through Configuration > General > Images.

There I have the same problem.
