    Get data from server with telnet? Is it Possible?

    Hi,
    I my network we are monitoring about 200 Ubiquiti Nanostations devices, but through SNMP I can't get data like "numbers of clients connected" and I found on Ubiquiti's Forum a Munin Plugin which connect to de device with telnet and execute a command with perl/regex to get data I want.
    Does anyone have any idea if this is possible on zabbix?

    Thanks a lot.

    Set your item type to "telnet"

      Hi,

      I havel already read this doc, but my problem is that I have to run the command
      Code:
      ubntbox mca-status
      but my return is

      deviceName=DEVICE,deviceId=00:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX,firmw areVersion=XM.ar7240.v5.5.4.16501.130308.1015,plat form=Bullet M2,deviceIp=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
      apMac=00:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
      wlanOpmode=ap
      wlanConnections=9
      wlanUptime=1149847
      essid=SSID
      freq=2452
      signal=-66
      noise=-90
      ccq=939
      uptime=1149847
      loadavg=0
      memTotal=29524
      memFree=10788
      memBuffers=2128
      ackTimeout=55
      distance=4500
      lanIpAddress=0.0.0.0
      wlanIpAddress=0.0.0.0
      wlanTxRate=47.8
      wlanRxRate=31.4
      wlanTxLatency=2
      wlanPolling=0
      wlanPollingQuality=0
      wlanPollingCapacity=0
      lanRxBytes=3966314074
      lanRxPackets=166802601
      lanRxErrors=0
      lanTxBytes=603359294
      lanTxPackets=109228824
      lanTxErrors=0
      lanPlugged=1
      lanSpeed=100Mbps-Full
      wlanRxBytes=1363504693
      wlanRxPackets=29383310
      wlanRxErrors=0
      wlanTxBytes=3030736202
      wlanTxPackets=45493344
      wlanTxErrors=0
      wlanRxErrNwid=1184
      wlanRxErrCrypt=0
      wlanRxErrFrag=0
      wlanRxErrRetries=0
      wlanRxErrBmiss=0
      wlanRxErrOther=0
      latitude=0.000000
      longitude=0.000000
      cfgCrc=8759f9f5
      This is my return, but I need only the values of an especific item, for example "wlanConnections=9" I need to filter this line and store number "9" into zabbix, so I can have the number os clients connected in Wlan. The telnet part is working fine, but how could I filter data I need?

      Thanks.
