Is it possible to start zabbix server process without pooling monitored boxes and updating database content?
I'm going to upgrade zabbix server from 1.8.4 to latest 1.8x (1.8.17) by reuild everythibg to new hardware with using database which is now replicating data from current production one and before stop current production instance will be good to start updated zabbix srv an proof that everything is ok with presenting replicated data.
And/or is it will be enough to do this by simple block all updates to current slave DB?
