    Question about zabbix and agents..

    When i have installed zabbix 1.1 (stable) in a server and i have installed a agent of zabbix 1.0; the listenport is 10050 or 10000?

    use (as root):
    Code:
    # netstat -tanp|grep -i listen
    to know who is listening on which port on a linux box.

      The server uses 10050 and the client 10000.
      You could either set the server to 100000 (old standard, if you have many old clients and don't want to reconfigure them all), or set the client(s) to 10050 which would be better (new standard port).

        That is to say, that I can change the Listenport of side of the client from 10000 to 10050?

          Client Config:
          Code:
          # Listen port. Default is 10000

          ListenPort=10000
          change to:
          Code:
          # Listen port. Default is 10000

          ListenPort=10050
          I made the experience that updating the whole agent to V1.1 is much better, because of too many unsupported items.
