HI there I am very new to Zabbix and having some troubles getting the server to talk to the desktop computer any help would be good

Hi

Are you running zabbix server on Linux?
Why are you change default port from 10050 to 161?
Do you know that Linux systems dont allow not privileged users, in this case zabbix user which runs zabbix_server, create connections on port with number less than 1024?

You can try to restore default port numbers in configurations.

I have changed them back and still no luck dose any one have a copy of
zabbix_agentd.conf
for windows that I can have a look at

Do you change configuration for the host?
Please check do you see zabbix_agentd process in Windows Task Manager processes list?
