    SNMP Queries

    Guys,

I have one host with 81 snmp checks.

21 with update interval of 300 secs
    60 with update interfal 0f 30 secs

1 item is in a template all by itself.
The other 80 items are divided up into groups of 4 items per template (20 templates x 4 items per template)

I'm noticing that I have checks that are being queued up for 10+minutes.

My StartPollers= is set to 50.

    Two questions:
Is there a more efficient way of doing snmp queries?
How do I determine if my StartPollers= number is properly tuned?

    SNMP Queries

    I forgot to mention:

I do not believe that the StartPollers= setting is to cause, because this is the ONLY host with delayed checks.

As far as I know, the Zabbix SNMP checks are done using a single thread per host, so it would only help to increase your SNMP pollers to the amount of hosts that you have or less.

Make sure that all your SNMP items that you're monitoring quickly returns a result, otherwise you'll end up with problems.

In our environment we've tried to move all our SNMP pollers to Zabbix trapper items.
