    Zabbix Install for Dummies

I have a clean CENTos 6.4 64bit system, trying to get through getting Zabbix 2.0.8 up and running. I am a linux noob so the freaking installation routines are greek to me to begin with, then when I run into problems I don't know where to branch off to troubleshoot.

Is there a nice, clean and easy installation script that takes care of all prerequisites, downloading sources, installation, etc?

    Thanks!

    They are ready for you:

EPEL finally offers Zabbix 2.0 packages. These packages are for you, if you are running RHEL, CentOS, Scientific Linux or any other Red Hat derivative. EPEL aims to provide best quality packages, that follow the same rules and conventions as Red Hat packages and therefore integrate smoothly. If you know what EPEL is, keep on […]

      Success!

I used the script I found here, modified it to install 2.0.8

So it is up and running, but it doesn't appear to be polling devices properly using SNMP. I have an "old" Zabbix server install that works, just barely (takes 30 seconds to switch between screens). The templates appear to be configured the same, I have the Macro set with {$SNMP_COMMUNITY} to the correct SNMP community but I look at "latest data" all I am seeing for my devices is "Device Uptime" under "General", no graphs, not even an entry for "Interfaces",

      Ideas?
