Simple SNMP Template Windows / Unix / Solaris

    Hello,

has anyone ever experienced monitoring Windows / Unix / Solaris via SNMP with Zabbix? And if so, anyone can share the template for the OS above? Because I need to configure a Zabbix installation for a customer that doesn't want to install any kind of agents on the Server. I've tried to look at the template on the Wiki but there isn't an agentless template.
Obviusly I need some standard metric like Cpu usage, Disk Usage, Memory Usage and Network Interface Usage for the testing installation, nothing more. By the way I'm starting to create my own templates that I'll share when done, but in the meanwhile if someone can share something it'll be very appreciated!!

Sorry for my poor English and thanks in advance for every help.

Zabbix has some SNMP default templates included with the 2.x installation.

Thanks for your answer, but the default template are pretty useless. I'm looking for something a little bit complete, with at least the basic performance metric (Disk, Memory, Cpu, Network Interface).

The Linux SNMP template gives all that via linked templates "Template SNMP Disks, Template SNMP Generic, Template SNMP Interfaces, Template SNMP Processors"

As long as you are using NetSNMP, these should work for Solaris as well I think.

The same situation on Windows: The standard MIB is quite completely implemented.

If you need specific vendor SNMP variables (HP, IBM, Dell) then look for a template, there are several around.

For our servers I implemented a fairly complete HP solution using SNMP LLD and some of scripts including iLO, Health, Software Status, IM Log, PhysDrive, LogicalDrv and many other items (37 standard items + 128 LLD items for HP Agents + 35 LLD items for HP iLO)

The scripts are used for extracting data out of the zabbix database and present the values in a table.

Thanks for your reply, effectively I've missed that the Windows and Linux Templates are linked to other Template (which has the discovery enabled). I've tried to add a server and it works like a charm after I've installed snmp-mib-downloader package on my Debian.
