    monitor autodiscovered disk becomes disconnected

    We have a server where we added an iSCSI disk which was autodiscovered properly. We would like to monitor this disk and to receive a trigger message when it becomes disconnected. How can we do this in Zabbix? (still on 2.0.x)

    thx,
    P.

    Usually you would use an "<itemname>.nodata(<time_period>)" trigger here.

      I've made a trigger:
      {Host_1:vfs.fs.size[X:,pfree].nodata(30)}=0

      to get an error when X: becomes unavailable for 30 seconds.
      I get a GUI error: Item not supported for function: {Host_1:vfs.fs.size[X:,pfree].nodata(30)}

      (and of course X: doesn't exit, that's just what we want to monitor.)

        So it is that what you want? As long as X: is discovered correctly, the .nodata() trigger won't fire. As soon as it disconnects you get an alert.

        Or did I misunderstand you completely?

          The trigger above does not generate an error when the drive becomes unavailable, in the GUI only the error as stated is shown.

            You may want to have a look here:

            It checks for unsupported items.
