    LLD interface Filter Help

    Hi
    Please help to how can i configure my discovery rule to only

    discover my Ethernet and fastthernet interface?

    it also find my vlans and loopback and . . .

    i used following filter but no success

    Discovery Name:Network interfaces
    snmp-oid: IF-MIB::ifDescr
    Filter Macro = {#SNMPVALUE} Regexp = ^eth||^gig|^fast

    Post the discovered interface descriptions and we could provide a regexp. At least, your regexp seems to be wrong.

    The regexp work by INCLUDE "good" strings (RESULT is TRUE) as well as EXCLUDE "unwanted" strings (RESULT is FALSE). Of course you can combine both.

    E.g.

    ^(lo)$ (Result is FALSE)
    ^eth(\d+)$ (Result is TRUE)
    ^vlan(\d+)$ (Result is FALSE)

    and so on.

    Edit: are you sure that you can determine the wanted interfaces by their names? I mean who knows if "eth0" is fast or giga ethernet or "bond0" is desired?
