How to change a template linked to a host and then refresh the host with these change

Hello to all.

I'm recently added two new entries in a template (Template SNMP Interfaces) and now I need to know how to "refresh" the hosts that have this template associated.

if I create a new host using this modified template these items will be automatically created, but how can I do to add the new items to hosts that are already created?

My Zabbix version is 2.0.7.

If you add items at the template level, and those templates are attached to hosts already, you do not need to do anything further. The items will update according to their update interval setting.

I think the only caveat to that is if you are going through a Zabbix proxy. Then whatever you have set for your Proxy update variable would come into play. By default, that value is 3600 (One hour)
