I've noticed on my install after updating from 206 to 2.2, latest data takes forever to load... I might have to drop the db and start fresh.

      Hi,

In our lab environment, after upgrading from 2.0.9 to 2.2.1 nothing is show in Monitoring > Latest data when selected all from Group and Host. This behavior happens to anyone else?

same exact issue. It takes about 5 minutes to load the data for some reason... and by then it tries to refresh the page which starts everything over again!

          Figured out the problem:

          edit /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf

          Uncomment:

          ValueCacheSize=8M

Then restart zabbix-server.. Latest data now loads fast(er)... it takes maybe 5 seconds vs 30-60 seconds now.

I set mine to 8M and that seems to be much better..

            HI,

I changed ValueCacheSize from 8 to 16, 32, 128, 256 and 512, and we still cant load Monitoring > Latest data when selected all from Group and Host.

post your zabbix logs. I noticed I wasn't able to use anything above 8MB. otherwise zabbix was throwing errors.

              /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log

Do you are with debug on frontend ?

Probably there is a "Out of Memory" error in apache log.

                    Hi,

                    In apache log

[Fri Dec 13 17:14:38 2013] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in /var/www/html/zabbix/include/db.inc.php on line 1047, referer:hxxp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/zabbix/latest.php?ddreset=1&sid=4efc2f8d1a7ce2d9

I set memory_limit = 512M in php.ini, and now can load, but it takes 15 seconds.
In this lab, zabbix is running on a VM with 2GB ram

You might want to give more ram to that VM... I have 4GB on mine and it uses 90% of it since mysql is local.

                        Hi,

Yes, I will increase RAM in this lab and I get in touch to give feedback.

                        Regards

Check if debug is enable for your user. Upper right corner there is a "evidence":

Disable it on "Administration => Users". You will notice that your zabbix
will get faster and and will not use a lot of memory.
