I'm considering using elasticsearch as backend for Zabbix as we have quite a powerful elasticsearch cluster available. But beside a sober explanation of how to setup zabbix to do so, I don't find much information about it.
One of the advantages that I see in this, is the possibility to use Kibana on the Zabbix data then in Elastic. But it is not clear to me if the data Zabbix puts into Elastic is also identifiable without Zabbix. Can a link between a host/item and the values be extracted from the data in Elastic without the need to query Zabbix itself?
