Linux Load average confusion

Is there some way to make system.cpu.load show the system load in the linux form (i.e. load 1= equivilent of 1 processor used)?

I have multiple processors, and the current results (which apparently divides the load by the processors) quite confusing.

Try system.cpu.load[all,avg5] (or avg1, avg15)
