I am trying to create a user, but where do i specify where he can see certain information such as certain graphs, or certain Items. I dont want him to see everything.

user groups
You can only set user permissions for host groups.
If a user can read / write a host groups, all the values / graphs / screens of the host group will be visible.. -
Oh how we'd like to have real permissions for complex teams and situations - the current system is great for customers in multi-tenant, but useless for our engineers, some of whom we'd like to let see things or make some changes, but not other.
Also, making thins read-only means users can't see the Item or Trigger definitions at all - very painful, so we had to add screens to show these data in special view pages.
We will be customizing security in 2.2 in 2014 to add some of this, plus to fix the nearly useless audit reporting system so we can control and track who does what in our system.Comment
