Zabbix Log Monitoring not Updating

Hello everyone,

I have an active check configured to monitor a file on one of my hosts. I came into work this morning and noticed that the last time any data was received from the agent was yesterday. I'm not sure why the agent isn't updating that item.

The agent log looks good, no errors there. Any ideas as to why this item is not being updated?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I misunderstood how Zabbix handles log monitoring. Zabbix will read from where it left off previously. The file I am monitoring is overwritten each time a script is ran, so to Zabbix it doesnt look like the log file changed at all.

What types of log files you used?
