Questions about Zabbix functions

Hi, i am currently comparing inventory Systems for my Companie to see which one we should choose for the future. I already went through the Documentation but there are still some questions i did not find the answers for.


Is it possible to..

.. list all Open Ports of the Host machine in the inventory System ?
.. see the partitioning of the SSD/HDD of the Host ?
.. check if the Host is a physical machine or VMware ?

If all of this is possible, do i have to Input it manually or is there a way Zabbix can check these things automatically.

Personally I wouldn't choose Zabbix for its inventory feature alone as it is rather rudimentary. You can populate the inventory fields from any Zabbix item you choose, so if you can get the data into Zabbix then you can get it into the Inventory. However, once it's in the inventory then your choice is either counting the permutations of one specific field, or looking at a list of 6 pre-chosen fields for a given host group.
