    Oracle database monitoring question

    Hi,
I have just registered on this forum and I am totally new in zabbix environment. I wish to test zabbix usability in area of monitoring databases ( especially oracle) and I wish from you to advice me.
Initial idea is to test use of the zabbix for checking these metrics:
    • Database instance availability
    • listener availability
    • Tablespace usage
    • ASM diskgroup usage
    • Specific ORA- errors from alert.log file
I have seen many plugins for oracle and other databases. Please advice me what is the best option for use to check these metrics.
    Thanks in advance!
    d.

You can use Orabbix plugin to monitor
    Database instance availability
    Tablespace usage
ASM diskgroup usage - probably require additional configuration

Listener availability you can check using standard port monitoring item net.tcp.listen[1521]

For alert.log monitoring is better to use ELK or other tools for log monitoring because in zabbix you probably need to specify all "Specific ORA- errors"

You can find how to configure Orabbix on this site http://zielart.blogspot.com/2018/09/...ase-using.html
